There is no gtx 800 series at all? Do you mean Geforce 800?

    I beg to differ.

Both of the new GTX 900 series cards come standard with 4 GB VRAM, and companies have stuck 4 GB in older cards. I once saw a 4 GB GTX 760.

    57r-numbers-something
The 970 and 980 both come with 4 standard.

    A 760 with 4GB? Jeez.
    ...900?
Wow. 900. Apparently they gave up on 800 and threw it to the notebooks.

I don't know of any GPUs using exactly 4GBs of VRAM. The CPU relies on RAM, not VRAM.

Think of it like the GPU is its own setup. It has a cache and RAM, and so does the CPU.

Alright, we just need to know a couple things:

    Will you be...

    [ ] Overclocking the CPU?
    [ ] Water-cooling? Hell yes you will
[ ] Moving the build around?
    [ ] Running Windows?
[integer] How much space do you need?
    [ ] Wi-fi or Ethernet?

Everything you're saying is fairly correct, except that the Ti version is not the budget version. Eg. 780Ti > 780

    You've got me.
I bought my 780Ti at a lower price than the 780... How odd.

EDIT: Oh, retailer vs. retailer. Cross comparison.

Here are a couple guidelines you can follow when building a gaming rig:

    CPU:
    • - 3+ GHz will prevent bottlenecking.
    • - Always go for the latest socket in a product line unless you have a specific reason not to.
    • - If you're going to overclock, make sure your CPU is unlocked.
    • - If you're not, choosing an unlocked CPU is unnecessary and costly.
    • - A closed-loop watercooling system is low-cost and beastly.

    GPU:
    • - Always reserve 33% of your budget for the GPU.
    • - The NVIDIA "Ti" series is the
    • enhanced version of the regular card.
    • - AMD usually releases more powerful stuff right off the bat, but NVIDIA is much better in almost every other respect.
    • - Clock speed on a high-end GPU should ideally be 1.1 GHz or higher.

    Motherboard:
    • - Make sure the socket on the motherboard matches the one on the CPU.
    • - PCIe 3.0 should be the only PCI slot you use.
    • - Motherboards support a certain amount of RAM depending on their size. EATX (USUALLY) supports 64GB, ATX-MicroATX supports 32, and Mini-ITX supports 16.
    • - Certain chipsets allow overclocking. Be careful which one you choose.
    • - SATA 6GBs connections are vastly superior to the 3's.
    • - Onboard USB support determines whether you can use USB 3.

    RAM:
    • - DDR3 is the current standard. DDR4 is out but is not currently supported by virtually anything.
    • - CAS latency > clock speed. Any CAS latency above 9 is probably not good for gaming.
    • - 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz are the most popular clock speeds. They're usually the lowest supported by the motherboard, but the best.

    PSU:
    • - It's good to get a PSU with a wattage of more than 150% of what is required to prevent starving the rig in stressful situations.
    • - The 80+ rating is PSU efficiency. Higher ratings won't give out under high load.
    • - Modular PSUs are much better than fixed ones, as there are less extra cables to mess with airflow.

    Casing:
    • - Choose a case with very little plastic and room for cooling inside.
    • - If you can't make a smooth route for air to travel through, there will be problems.
    • - Be careful of Raidmax.
    • - Stay away from Raidmax.

    Hold up!

    Windows 8.1 supports DX11.1 and soon 12.
Most new driver updates will be supporting it exclusively.
    Use Windows 8.1.

I would go with a Linux-debian distro, but that's my opinion.

    Suggesting changes:

Exchange the 1TB HDD for a 512 GB SSD. It's a lot faster and data loss is almost nill.

Your PSU should be fully modular. It's a lot easier to work with and reduces heat buildup from extra cables.

The issue here is the data marker.

    There shouldn't be a colon between 159 and 1; rather, a space.

    testforblock x y z 159 1

    Proper notation:

    testforblock x y z minecraft:stained_hardened_clay 1

I would go with Patriot due to the lower CASL. DDR3-1600 should have a good reason for having a CASL of 10.

    QUOTE FOLLOWS:
-AceR-You guys are all getting mad calling apple overpriced. Your idiots. It costs money to design a phone and also manufacture it! Its a aluminium phone. they spend millions on the design

    It costs millions to design.
    Not to produce per unit.

The amount they sell per quarter is a huge profit margin.
Per unit, the profit margin is >200%.
Given that the iPhone case is simply a piece of aluminum, the cost to produce the casing isn't too high.
Now, we look at the internals:

For the A8 proc, we see a x64 architecture with a crappy l3 cache and clock speeds lower than expected. This processor didn't cost as much as we would be led to believe.

The GPU is impressive, but bottlenecked by the CPU. Its performance is great until it is under stress.

What is up with the SSD? >$100 for 16GB?

It's also produced by Foxconn Technology. The wage is less than a dollar per hour.

This is not a costly machine.

    The price is undeserved.

    Hmm.

Several resistors, a couple transistors. Shove'm together and you have a 2-bit ALU.

It can probably run Windows Vista, so does that count?
Crap, someone beat me to the Vista joke.

-[CIPHER]If the command blocks are placed in a way that the tp command that teleports the entity -1 y coordinate lower is nearer to the source of the clock (Nearer to the two command blocks running the clock), then chances are the -1 y command will run first, therefore rendered useless.

You wouldn't run both commands simultaneously. They'd be in series.
