Well firstly, train stations cannot be medieval, since trains weren't around back then. That said, the closest someone could get would be a steampunk themed strain with less metal and more wood.

You just completely missed everything I just said like 5 posts ago.
Immediate incentives vs. Not immediate incentives.
People are going to pay for immediate incentives over non-immediate incentives.
The enforcement of the EULA will take out the immediate incentives.
All that will remain are the non-immediate incentives (IE: The actual server, donating for the sake of the server, itself).

The immediate incentives are still there. Servers like Shotbow and Hypixel are still allowed to sell coins, XP boosts, as well as colored names, etc. They're just not allowed to sell a physical item, because that would be forcing people to pay them to use something that is part of the game.

Firstly, you guys don't understand the EULA fully. The change means that you cannot sell gameplay features and items they coded for money, since they made it. Ex: no one can use golden apples unless they pay money to use them. However, servers like hypixel and shotbow are still up and legal, because their donation packages feature things that either 1. don't affect gameplay, like colored names, or 2. are not made by mojang (like the server's xp system). Those are still legal. What is not legal is selling sets of diamond armor, diamond swords, or similar items for real money.

For a builder app, you need something impressive. A good tower would look good, or a sharp and tall cathedral. Large ships and airships tend to be very impressive. If you can manage it, giant trees or large statues also look great.

I would stay away from castles or houses unless you can't find anything better to build, since those are kind of generic. You want your build to stand out, in terms of size, detail, design etc.

I somewhat disagree with the people who posted above, since pixelart doesn't show too much building skill, and the terracotta army is not very impressive given that its underground in a pit.

The definition of professional means that its their job to build, which would imply payment.

Shouldn't you ask for a portfolio with something like this? The self-rating system is essentially useless, since most people will put themselves as 8+ regardless of skill.
