I have 8gb or RAM though! Is better for minecraft for sure! Don't really need the vid card for minecraft!
I have ASUS HD 6670 that I haven't even put in yet because of my 450watt power supply...doesn't even matter. The integrated graphics on the motherboard run Oblivion better than my PS3!
Opted for a Arctic Cooling CPU FAN! and 2 LED fans...my box is more like an air conditioner than ever! (HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU HAVE AFTERMARKET FAN!) That way you have a way better fan and also have a spare fan as well!
Fan placement is a big factor for performance! I have a fan in the front to suck in cool air, a fan in the top to blow out the hot air. CPU fan, and generic case fan at the back of computer blowing out to expunge hot air. Also have power supply fan blowing down and out. You don't need heaps of fans but a few won't hurt.
500GB HDD is enough because you can always get more!
Phenom 2 is great processor!
And of course Windows 7 Pirate Edition and Linux Mint 10
Definitely a step up from playing minecraft on my netbook!!
In total paid about $600(CAD) for all the shit. Haven't even put in the vid card cause i only play minecraft so you could knock off $100 dollars...
I bought most of my stuff a couple months ago because of a computer sale clearing out 2011 stock to make way for 2012 stock...
I don't know a shit load about computers but the best way to learn is to build one for yourself! Then you don't have to deal with all the little nerdy tech guys at the computer shop that act like computer guru's or something....hahahahaha im a sex guru bitch!
