Agreed, the Terraria comparison is spot on. But the thing is, Terraria was built from the ground up around progression and bosses, whereas Minecraft blew up precisely because of its absolute freedom. Don't get me wrong, it is great that all this new content like trial chambers and armor trims is completely optional and you can just ignore it. But the mere fact that the game is actively nudging you toward a specific playstyle kind of changes how the world feels the second you boot up a new map.
