Write at least 1 paragraph on Newmond and it's background, feel free to include any made up characters, buildings or previous events to back up your story. The more descriptive, the better: Newmond, once a place of sanctity and freedom when i lived there, until [i]they[i] came. Many of the people who lived here were happy, but also terrified. It was a town without government and rules. You charged whatever you wanted if you were a shopkeeper. Took whatever you wanted without consequence. The great lord Hestone came, took over this land and brought Order to Newmond, it was wonderful for most, the thieves despised it because they were locked up. When he came into power, you got two strikes, the third was instantaneous death where you stood. There were many laws, but most of the townsfolk travel from here to the outside areas, where there wasnt law. Soon the guards began strolling the roads, everything became too safe, so the guards had to stir up their own trouble. The guards would rob innocent shopkeepers and murder them and hide the caravans. They would then find a traveler and bring him to the king reporting he or she was the one who had done it. They werent all bad, because they gave money out to the poor at times, but kept most to themselves. They were caught and sent away, but more followed in their steps, but not as frequently, and not killing, merely robbing or over charging fees. Eventually, people started leaving and the homes went up for sale, and so many seeking their own fortunes showed up in the town.....TBC
