Personally, when I watched it I found it funny because of how ridiculous it looked. Is that a bad thing? For me, no, not really. I'm very simple when it comes to films, if it can entertain me for 2 hours or so, then that's good enough for me. Call me naive or whatever, but I think you can just enjoy more films then, compared to some people who to me it doesn't seem like they enjoy anything without it being the best thing they've ever watched. For example, I went to see the latest Despicable Me film, because why the heck not. Was I expecting it to be "good"? No. But did I have a good time? Yes! I'm sure if I thought about anything that was happening in it for just a minute then it would all fall apart, but who really cares that much?
In my opinion, I think it's interesting that they decided to do something different instead of copying how everyone else does stuff. Whether it looks good is subjective, and clearly a lot of people hate it, but I'm not going to take it too seriously. It's not like they accidentally made it look like this, it's the whole point, making it very clear off the bat that it shouldn't be taken seriously. Maybe people will say I'm just sucking up to Microsoft/Mojang again, or whatever, I don't know. I'm just here to have a good time. Don't mind me, but I'm going to go watch Jack Black do silly stuff and amuse myself briefly, while everyone else can sit and sulk in their chair about how bad it is.
