In my very first world, I didn't know how to do anything so I made oak planks and made a house with 2x2 space inside, 2 blocks high and no roof. I also didn't know how to make doors so where the door was going to be I assigned logs.
I had also seen people make really cool doors so further into the game (same world) I found out how to make buttons and was confused when it didn't magically make a door when I just place a button on the wall and clicked it.
