Adobe Illustrator or other vector graphics programs are best for true logos, icons and things. Photoshop and gimp (raster graphics programs) are great for things like YouTube banners and general photo editing.

From my own experience, at least, bigger pay-to-win style servers arose around 1.8 beta of Minecraft.

I miss the time when servers did things for the fun of it instead of for the business of it.

With the EULA enforced, I hope to see a new era of "simply for the fun of it" servers.

You seem to discount a period in Minecraft's existence where servers weren't gigantic networks with thousands of players on them. Servers can and do exist without the help of donations. To say there would be no servers in existence is completely ignorant.

Even if all the EULA-breaking servers disappear magically overnight, there would still be plenty of servers to play on.

Look at who the real PMC mods are before you start complaining about imposters.

Just because you can't get donations by complying to the EULA doesn't give you any special exemptions to it.

Can't get donations with the new EULA? Tough luck. That's it.

I recall a few pages back the term "freedom" was thrown around.
ContextPeople have the freedom to join and leave servers as they please.

Well, with freedom, there needs to be regulations. Otherwise everything would be complete anarchy.

Here's a perfect real world example:
Due to the presence of regulations, I have the freedom to go to a grocery store and not blindly purchase expired, toxic foods.

With the EULA regulations, now the entire Minecraft community has the freedom to play on servers without having to pay real money for game altering features.

On non-pvp servers, it is purely cosmetic. We should expect owners to be able to know what's appropriate and what isn't. In a PVP instance (or possibly a minigame with mobs in it) it wouldn't be appropriate.

People are going to have to be more unique with their servers if they want more EULA compliant donations. Players aren't going to support mediocre servers if there are almost identical options to join if they shut down. (A majority of factions servers, if you will).

The problem is everyone forgot. Even EvilSeph forgot (the reason all this happened in the first place)

    Everything seems to be resolved.
    RezzedUpWelp
We all experienced this live. Everyone sleeping right now will wake up to chaos and confusion and they'll have to read up on what happened.

Now we'll have to wait for everyone else to wake up and catch up.

This bukkit scare is only a taste of the havoc that can uccor with this specific portion of the EULA in place.
