I'm gonna sound like one of the worst people ever here, but if you're here to say I hate my dad, my dad is awful, my dad did ___ and ___ to me and now I hate him, then you should take your posts elsewhere. The title of this thread, incase you missed it, is Dads are awesome! What does your dad do for you?. Now, in case you have trouble with inferring, this is supposed to be a positive thread about the good things that your father has done for you, not a place to claim how much you seemingly despise him.
Now, a response to the actual topic, sorry about that lmao.
My dad suffers from a condition where he has high iron levels and is usually on a restricted diet, and has to get blood drawn every month, which usually puts him in a weaker state, but that doesn't really stop him!
When I was around 3, we used to live near a nice beach, and we would go there about once every three weeks with my little sister and sometimes my mum.
When I was 5 he taught me how to ride my bike because I was really upset due to the fact that all my friends could and I couldn't - now, I've always been quick to pick up on things but slow to actually be able to do them, so this was the case with my biking skills. It took the whole summer, going out almost every afternoon until I finally got the hang of it, and that was the fact that really got me - he didn't give up on me or get frustrated at all.
Over the years, we've played sports together, when I was about 9 I was taught the basics of a crossbow by him, we just go out to town together many times, and sometimes he surprises me with clothes and cute little accessories, just because he wants to.
Overall, I really love my dad, and it makes me pretty sad to see all these people saying that they hate their fathers.
