Working on a little something to go along with the Aotearoa texture pack ;-)

    Damn it's been awhile

    Just some quick wee updates;
Been super busy with finishing high school and starting university and many other projects that I kind of forgot about my texture packs.

I've started working on some more bits and pieces for the Aotearoa Pack, upgraded it to 1.17.0 and will hopefully roll out an update on PMC for it.

Again, if anyone has suggestions I'm open (I'm stumped on what to do with Axolotls).

Expect a Java version of the pack after the Bedrock version is "complete", cause then I can just dump the finished textures into it.
(Java and Bedrock name everything different so it's kind of a pain)

I've also got another idea for a smaller texture pack, The More Accurate Mobs Pack.
This will alter the texture of some Minecraft mobs to more accurately represent their real life counterparts.
I might also extend this to tweaking the plants of the game as well.

    So that's my update
    :)

I'm going to start working on a Java version of the Aotearoa texture pack.
The goal is to get it to the same stage as the Bedrock/Windows 10 version and then I can work on both at the same time.

    Hey guys
I'm looking for some suggestions and ideas for my New Zealand themed texture pack.

    Can be anything
    Items, mobs, blocks, plants, etc.

I'm also trying to change the music discs to songs from New Zealand.
So far I've got Poi E and Royals listed down.
    Any suggestions for songs?

All the beds now have a design on them, most being native NZ birds with two being insects.

So I remembered about my New Zealand texture pack, so I'm doing some more on that.
Going to start moving a bunch of things to a new folder thingy because of 1.16. The old one I was working on isn't compatible anymore.

I was having some issues with the parrot skins in the Bedrock world. The texture on the wings was all upside down and back-to-front.
But after an hour or so of fiddling around I have finally fixed the first skin!

Those flat textures are really confusing! 😖

I can confirm I have decided to make a resource pack. I'll be posting the mob textures as I go for people to download freely. I might call it something like, Pack of The Long White Cloud. Because Aotearoa (the true name for New Zealand) translates to Land of The Long White Cloud.

I'm open to suggestions for anything in the pack.

Not really! I'm not really a texture pack guy. Grass on the side is definitely the right choice, though, IMO

Trying to keep the feel of Minecraft so it's completely playable and nice to look at, just with a bit of a Kiwi twist.
So no crazy changes to blocks and none of that HD texture stuff, the biggest changes will be things like apples to kiwifruit, bread to weet-bix, etc and of course the mob skins.

Did you have something in mind for the terrain blocks?
I might make the grass blocks have grass down the sides to make it feel more natural

Ooh oh. I hope you make the regular terrain blocks like dirt, stone grass, etc very nice. What kind of aesthetic are you looking for?

I think I might be starting an Aotearoa, New Zealand resource pack for Bedrock.
I'll see were it goes, ay.
