    Working up how hard I'm pushing the render engine with my 3-D models... In a 10 by 10 area on my test map, I have my 3-D versions of: a crafting table, lit and unlit smokers, furnaces, and blast furnaces, an enchanting table, and 18 bookcases. This brings the individual elements of all the models and the blocks they're placed on to nearly 1,700! 1,700 elements are being rendered in a 10-block-wide by 10-block-deep by 4-block-high area! For reference, those same models in the original modeling would only bring the total to about 125!

    Frustrated! Re-textured the pufferfish only to find that Minecraft is mapping the texture wrong! In the medium size, the spines are sharing a space with the body map. That means either the texture has a funny solid curl on it or a chunk can be taken from the body to get the spines right but leave a gap in the body. Also, spines are shared between the medium and large sizes, but rotated differently so spines can't have a thicker base on one end without making one model or the other look funny! :-( I'd love to share this one because it came out rather nice, but I really don't like broken models.
