I Started playing Minecraft sometime during Alpha 1.1/1.2. I was motivated to play Minecraft due to the Halkun video of the 1:1 USS Enterprise-D. After seeing the ship on the server way back in October of 2010, I then lied about my age, playing myself off as a 21-year-old when I had only just turned 13, and applied to the build team of the project.

I succeeded, and they allowed me to do interior design for portions of the ship in the saucer section, where I was instructed to essentially copy by hand portions that they had previously done and shown to me. It was my first ever group project, and having taken part in something that massive motivated me to make Minecraft a hobby.

Later on in 2011, I established a group called the Military Builders, along with an actual Java server for it in 2012 with my German friends Nick13 and PanzerXD. Another German ship builder, Spee, was very helpful in getting us set up and would come on the server to chat with his fellow German friends.

14 years later, and over 1,000 registered members have blessed our community, with hundreds—if not thousands—of builds being created during that time. These range from small fighter jets all the way to 1:1 scale aircraft carriers, and pretty much anything made of metal that moves across franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo, Mass Effect, etc.

Around 2020, I became a Build Team Owner on the massive project known as Build the Earth, which I am still a part of now almost five years in. In the same year, I also became a contributor to the official Minecraft Marketplace, where you can see some of my creations available for purchase on Bedrock Edition.

During my time playing Minecraft, I have had the distinct privilege of interacting with amazing builders—you all know who you are. You have all had such a deep and impactful contribution to my life, and even though I still only consider this a hobby, you’ve made it incredibly fun for me. I’ve had a great time getting to know many of you.

Although we’ve had our ups and downs and moments of tribulation, it has all been worth it in the end.
