You're clearly misinterpreting what I'm trying to say. The point of mods is to add new items and things, and most beginner modders make something that isn't super advanced. For me, I just wanted to be able to put my mod somewhere with a good community so I could see how people liked it, but instead it was considered to not be good enough for this site.
When I said that this mod was just adding new swords, and added a quote from the rules, I was trying to use those to explain my point of how dumb the rule is. People like to have some new tools or items they can mess around with, and I wasn't making crafting recipes like "Use 5 pieces of stone and get a sword that's better than diamond with sharpness 5." I made everything about the mod reasonable, and even usable in survival if you decided you wanted to do that.
My overall point in this is just that the rule is really discouraging to new modders, sending the message of "Your mod isn't extremely advanced. So what if you're newer to modding, you aren't good enough to post here. See ya."
