Let's call it modding, because they are not hacking anything.
Modding minecraft is quite simple.
1. Get MCP
2. Add a few exploits
3. ????
4. Profit.
One hit kills shouldn't be happening again in the future, when the microsoft security engineers start working on minecraft it's gonna be heaven.

The worst thing I can imagine happening is if a modded client makes your server shut down + messes up the configuration, or ruins your house.

Follow that guide if you want to be a generic minecraft youtuber, but there's a ton of those, even a tutorial on it! You just have to clever and creative, having an intro/outro isn't going to get you noticed, good and interesting content will.
Don't be one of those "HEY GUYS ITS {name}, AND TODAY WE WILL BE...", then spit out a lame joke and laugh, there's plenty of dem.

I don't think the rating, and animation of the show is related to a where he can watch Sword Art Online.

Directed to thread question.
I recommend buying TV shows on amazon, or watching them on Netflix, the usual anime site will have a toon of ads, terrible quality sources and a abundance of broken links. Though if you aren't that into paying for something you like, I guess a terrible quality version is good enough.

There is a animation plugin for bukkit, but redstone just isn't fast enough to generate a convincing animation with blocks.
