It might be your graphics card having a hard time rendering the sky for some reason.
I would suggest:

>Set graphics to minimal.
>Make sure your computer isn't running a lot of other programs at the same time.
>Use the default texture pack.
If it persists, back up you're saves/screenshots and uninstall the game (including all the appdata files)
Then reinstall, generate a new world and see if it appears again.

On a side note, if the whole sky looked like that, it would be wickedly cool in a
"Tron sky" sort of way.

Hmm.
Just updated to 1.4.2 today. (I was holding out so I could play on a server until It updated)
I haven't seen any instances of him yet, though I will keep my eyes open.
I've been kind of busy with school classes, birthdays and a few other things to go searching.

I'll see if I can have a stakeout in a few weeks and just let Mc run with some kind of recorder to pick up anything unusual.

Unfortunately, Fraps makes freaking gargantuan files after only a few minutes of recording (and lags), so I'll have to find something else to record with.

So a funny thing happened a few days ago...

I was playing on a popular Mc server and renovating my basement with redstone contraptions.

I had just made part of CodeCrafted's "magic closet" when I ran out of repeaters.
I went upstairs to see if I had any stone to use and found only 2 pieces. With a sigh, I began to smelt a stack of cobble and promptly went Afk.

A few minutes later, I returned to my computer, (The Afk boot requires long idles) crafted the repeaters, returned to my basement, walked behind one of the walls, and frowned as I discovered somebody had "griefed" my redstone.

Again, I went upstairs and retrieved a new stack of redstone dust and began making repairs.

I used my newly smelt stone to craft a button and tested my work for bugs.
Unfortunately, the moment I pressed the button, I knew something was amiss because the button didn't "pop" back out after I pushed it.

I assumed it was lag until my screen flashed black and I got a Mc crash report.


Annoyed, I closed the game, let my computer cool down in sleep mode and practiced archery.

I came back later, restarted the game and rejoined the server, only to have a crash again... Except this time it was my computer...

Bluescreen'd and slightly disturbed, I gave up playing games for that day and gave my computer the day off.

"Disturbed" you ask? Yes.
"Why is that?" you question.

Before the first crash I had been toggling back and fourth from CC's videos and Mc to build the magic closet. Probably just a coincidence, but the first person I saw that day in the server once it restarted was wearing the default skin and standing just outside my house. (I didn't see their eyes)

When I toggled back from the video just a second later, there was nobody there and nobody listed when I pressed tab....

I actually hadn't heard of BEN, so I Googled him yesterday...

Scary stuff bro. A friend of mine has Majora's mask and I seem to recall him mentioning something about a weird statue at one point or another, but never a haunting.
I may have to reconsider buying it for my GameCube. :3

Whoa spamfest.
I don't check the thread for a few days and craploads of posts appear.

It's 11:42 here, and I'm tired so I'll answer a question (or more, an accusation) before I log off.

I searched up the Armour stand mod and found Risugami's page.
Neat stuff he posts, but I don't use Armour stand.

My skin looks default because back a few weeks ago when Minecraft.net wasn't responding to skin changes, I was attempting to change to a villager-ish skin (not squidward) and was having problems.

I assumed it was because my skin was incompatible or something or that I had messed up the template, so I uploaded the default skin with Herobrine eyes to see if something simple like that would make a difference.
It didn't, however, Mc.net apparently registered the skin change, but I didn't know it.

It updated later, but I assumed I was still wearing the default, which is why I have the same skin for my arms as steve and "Him" in all my pics.

I am currently wearing a Hero-skin, but I'll change it and try to get a pic of both of us later so you can see 2 people: - :2 skins.

I also don't give a ^(%# what CreepyPasta says is true or not.

Been a bit busy with school to play on my cursed world much.
I've really only seen him once since my last post, and he sort of "vaporized" into whitish grey particles before I had a chance to press F2.

Maybe he's mad at me for not paying enough attention to him?

Also, I mentioned work rollbacks in my Smp server.
Looks like he's been reading my posts, because now they're becoming frequent in singleplayer as well.

I'm trying to get a screencap of him in our server, but I host it, so it causes lag, IE, I have to run with my render distance on normal or below.
Wanna guess where he's taken to showing up now?

Actually, there are Herobrine mods that have Herobrine using the player model


I posted pictures of my bin interior and exterior. They're both clean of mods.

Also, if you're thinking about the mod all over YouTube, I've seen it, and he griefs the crap out of everything in the vid. Ie: my home remains, Un-griefed. That should tell you something.

Hey, just a quick notice:
I've been setting up a server with my brother for a few close friends to play on, and though I haven't seen "Him", I have found some strange things in the map.
It might just be a generator glitch, but I haven't heard of many glitches that happen as the map is rendering around you. :/
Notably: the screen flashing black for 1 frame at random intervals. (might be a computer glitch)
- Work rollbacks? - I place several blocks, turn my back for a minute, and when I turn back, they've disappeared, though never when I'm watching.
-Huge mobs of... well, mobs, spawning all at once in the center of our castle, despite the fact it's well lit.
-I've heard the "fire burning" sound effect sometimes when I play, though when I look around, nothing is on fire. (burning mobs just make the damage sound, so it can't be them)

It might just be my computer is being taxed to support a server, myself and my brother playing it at the same time, but I'll keep an eye out.

And sorry, I didn't see those new pictures, but still, you could've force updated.....then installed a mod again...

Though, I used the world seed, and haven't found him yet, if he is real.If I do find him, then I'll believe you.

Not sure if I actually ever will, though, I guess I do still have some belief he could be real .__.

But what difficulty were you on?


That's OK about the pictures. I thought you were just ignoring them. (you're not a troll )

I'm also glad you used the world seed to see for yourself. I'd prefer people actually test my claims rather then just taking my word for it.

I'm tempted to wish you luck in finding Him, but I don't know if finding him is a good or bad thing so... I wish you luck on whatever you choose.

I started off in peaceful when I built my house, but when no hostile mobs were spawning, I realized I was in peaceful and switched to Normal. After out friend started making appearances I switched back to Peaceful, but he spawned anyways.
I'm currently in Normal.

Sed11 Also, he could've used a mod, he gives no proof that he's not.

Because the three pictures I posted of my Bin contents and the fact I still have my META-INF folder isn't proof. -_-

Also, Yes I did say He's been used as a troll tool. Anything is a troll tool to a troll.
Nothing is sacred to those guys.

He's a mythical creature in the game that looks just like Steve (the default skin guy), but without pupils.

This guy ^
He pretty much walks around doing whatever and scaring you sh*tess when he appears in your mine late at night.

The texture wouldn't work on a villager since they're not the same dimensions.



endercreeper01 I do not belive in herobrine because their is no herobrine hidden in the code and there
is no PNG file of him, so he must not be real.


Why would a demon/ghost thing have a PNG file?
Second, That's fine if you don't believe in him, but why are you on this thread then?

Lol, wow you quoted my entire thread.
Also, if I had retextured a door, how could it be facing me when I'm standing at an angle?

or you could be using a retextured mob?


What mob would I be using?
Zombies hold their arms out at eye level.
Skeletons hold bows.
Spiders are only 1 block tall.
Creepers don't have arms. etc.
