Hey everyone! Yesterday we hit a new big milestone for the demo/legacy version of Dramatic Skys that is on Curse and Modrinth. We hit the giant number of over 6 million downloads!
Back whenever I started making texture packs and posting content I never would have thought I would get a million downloads, let alone 6 million! I remember vividly whenever the pack hit 100k and thought that was insane at the time, and then at 500k, and then at a million. It's just crazy to see the pack continue to get love from the community like this.
Odds are if you are reading this you are one of those 6 million downloads, and I truly thank you for that. Even people who use the free versions of my work help me and help this community to grow more and more.
In a celebration of sorts I will be running some giveaways in the discord server for side packs and stuff. The least I can do is give back to my community that has given me so much.
Also, if you have been using the demo/legacy version for a long time I do of course encourage you to check out the beta!
The early access version of the PBR Addon (1.1a) is now live for @Emerald @Lapis and @Netherite ! 40 new blocks in total, which include 6 redone textures. Pretty decent sized update and a lot of goodies have been added! Thank you so much to @UsernameGeri for helping me tweak textures and test them!

Hey everyone! The latest update of Dramatic Skys (Beta 2.3a) that's Early Access for Emerald, Lapis, and Netherite is out now! In this update I have added weather specific skies for high altitude conditions. Meaning if you're up where high altitude clouds appear, they will have their own weather skies. Some preview screenshots are here on this post!
This makes everything much more concrete and put together. Along with that some tweaks were made to property files and jsons.

I first made test armor textures way back in MC 1.8 (2014-2015) but never released them as I took a step back then from making content. However, the texture format for these has all changed so these are 100% new. They are simple, yet add depth to the textures which will also get PBR effects down the road! This update has the following:

Hey guys! Wanted to release an updated version of Realistic Skys. Was not happy with the old texture of any of the skies, look or resolution wise, so they have been remade to be better. Pack will work as it has, just a brand new sky for each time of day!

Along with that, transitions between skies has been edited to make things more smooth and less harsh when going between biomes or height based skies.
Changelog: -Updated sky textures for desert biome(s) (sky5, sky6, sky7) -New day sky and sunrise/sunset -Adjustment to night sky -New transition blending (changes in sky from biome to biome will be smoother)

Hey guys, wanted to show this little preview of the newest PBR map for stone bricks! Was not 100% happy with the old one and got some feedback from users on it as well. I think it is much cleaner this time around!
Also redoing the brick PBR to be better as well amongst other things (including some new ones!) Over time you can expect changes and touch ups to even the ones that are in the pack as of now!

Hey guys! Just wanted to give a little teaser of a new side pack I am working on, Nebulous Skys! Outside of Cosmic Skys, I have never done any like.. deep space stuff, but that's about to change!
This will be the pack icon, and gives you an idea of what the night sky will be looking like! Just a little teaser. At the start of this new year I did say I would be making more side packs, and here we are haha. Hope you're excited!
Super happy to release this to you all! I know it's been a long time coming and after a ton of tweaks and help of UsernameGeri, Shivamzter and Raccmalone I feel comfortable releasing this beta version of blocks with PBR!
This has been a new and huge learning curve to me, as this was something I had never done before in any capacity. This was totally out of my depth a few months ago but with a lot of testing and help I am able to present this to you guys!
In this first version, 59 blocks are added in total. More will be added with time of course, but I felt this was enough to justify a release. Note this is also an addon pack, meaning you will load it alongside Default HD. The PBR textures are 512x at the moment but will work fine on 128x and 256x as well as the 512x. Luckily with the way I made the pack this is possible and kind of just works.
If you experience any issues or bugs please let me know! I would love to see some builds done up with these blocks to see how it looks and to see your creativity! Enjoy!
