I recently found someone selling an intel xeon x5667 (4 of them) for $100 each. I don't know much about using server processors for normal or anything about xeon, but do you think this would work well in a build with a 970 if I put a cooler on the xeon? Thanks and sorry again for bringing this topic back up.

Hey everyone, sorry to bring this topic back up again, but I am wondering for my build, whether I should go with a i5, or a i7 processor? I am still planning on purchasing the GTX 970 but I need to decide on the processor first.

No, those were separate questions. I mean like they have 120gb SSD- 2tb 7200rpm and i7 4770 aswell as the other parts for cheap.

Do I want for sure a 80+ Gold with around 600watts? Not sure what I would need.

Thanks everyone, again.
However, I have a few more questions for all of you-
What kind of powersupply do I need? I am planning on going with more than I need (600-650) just in case I decide to upgrade it later, but I have no idea what I want. I don't want to cheap out and risk damages.
Is it BAD to buy used parts from previous builds? I found someone selling a PC they bought 6 months ago and it is a good build, and good price, so I wanted to buy it and use some of the parts from it. Will the power of the processor, for example be lacking a lot, or should I just buy new?

I will probably end up looking for a sale on the 4790 and getting that, as I would like to record games too! Thanks everyone

Will the i5 and the 970 be alright? I mean like will the i5 handle the things I want it to? Will the stock cooler be alright? OR should I wait for a deal and get the i7 4770?

I am not planning to overclock and did not realize that.. Thanks.
But... will the i5 be alright with the graphics card?
I'm not 100% sure on this but I will either end up ( in a year-ish ) selling this pc and building a new one, or upgrade some of it.

What kind of case fans would you recommend?
Should I put a CPU fan on the intel processor, whether I choose xeon or i5?
If so, what do you recommend?
By the 970, which one do you mean, can you post a link?
