I personally began Minecraft back in Beta:1.7.6. not the earliest start, but hey, at least I was around during beta!
My interest in the game started around 1.2, but I simply could not afford the game at the time. I refused pirating the game because that sort of stuff never sat well with me.
when I could eventually afford it, I jumped on the opportunity.
I've been playing the game on and off ever since.
I aim to start work on texture packs eventually, all in due time, I suppose.
