Minecraft/Modding How long does a greenlight take?

We appreciate that you are eager to have you submission published live, however we hope you understand that their are a few hundred other submissions in the queue and we get to them as quickly as possible however it can often take up to a week (your submission shows as being in the queue for 3 days)
Each review can take a considerable amount of time to complete depending on the submission and our site mods are only volunteers.

Because then not only do we have the posts that being mini-modded to moderated we would also have the person abusing it to moderate.
As a side note, flaming would be more common if this were allowed as, like I said, the users doing the mini-modding don't actually have any authority so users are more likely to react volatilely with them.

The report function is there for a reason, it easier and causes less problems.

First of all we don't like users placing themselves above each other by assuming they have the authority to moderate each other.
Mainly we don't allow it because it is highly possible that the person doing the mini-modding gets it wrong (Yes, in this case they may be right but it is easier to have a blanket ban than a case by case basis) and this can cause extra work for moderators.

Also, it's not the users job to moderate, that is for the moderators.

It can take up to about a week (or longer) depending on the size of the queue and/or the complexity of the review.
Sometimes reviews are done by multiple mods as well.

Edit: Note that we do try to get them done as quickly as possible.

PikaBlox1. We are being attacked by daily DDoS attacks.
2. I setup my DDoS Mitigiation network.
3. The Mitigation IP being attacked is the one ONLY listed on planetminecraft.com, none of the others are attacked
4. After a 2 months of them realizing the attacks are no longer working, the attacks stop.
5. Not even a full month after planetminecraft.com stops connecting to the server via server list AND votifier while no other site has any issue what so ever.
6. Network logs shows majority of connection attempts from planetminecraft and to planetminecraft succeed without issue.



Can you clarify what you mean here. Are you suggesting that planetminecraft is DDoSing your server?

The thread isn't a flame war, it may soon become one but that happening is up to the people participating in this discussion to decide.

The question of this topic is "Why do people hate Anime" and someone has clearly stated that in their opinion Anime is homosexual and that being homosexual is bad. This, while not a popular opinion, is still their viewpoint and if anyone wants to have a relevant discussion with the user on why Anime isn't homosexual or something like that then feel free. However a discussion on whether or not something being homosexual is good, bad or neutral is off topic for this thread.

Essentially if you guys want this to be a flame war about something irrelevant to the discussion then this thread will get locked and/or the users participating will receive warnings/bans.

Edit: "gay" replaced with "homosexual" because of Cloudflare blocking me :l

My computer hasn't changed much except for an extra SSD and a HDD swap so I wont be turning it off and opening it to take a picture, nonetheless here is the old pic:

I would like to emphasise that most of the parts (including fans) are quite old, I keep my actual computer much cleaner.

Perhaps a counter (that only mods can view) that shows how many reported messages a user has made that have resulted in an infraction being given.
We have something similar for site reports to see which users are being helpful so having one for chat would be good.

A message being deleted by a moderator or by the system as a result of a ban (a ban deletes your messages) should close the reports associated with those messages. Currently the report log is full of reports from last year and recent reports that have already been handled.
