This one goes back to when I was about 10. It also doubles as my weirdest dream...
So I begin in a bedroom, standing next to a neatly made double king. I hear a door slam in the distance and a voice calling "I'm home!" The voice continues calling out saying things along the lines of that they sense an intruder in their house and that they plan to kill/eat the intruder once they find them.
The first thing I notice about the room is that there is only a single door and multiple mirrors on the walls. I discover, in my panic to escape the room, that each of these mirrors act as some sort of portal. Trying the largest, and easiest mirror first, it takes me back to where I started, beside the bed. I keep trying different mirrors/portals but to no avail. Entering into a mirror seems to reset the dream with the door slamming and the voice calling at the beginning of each reset. Finally, I notice a narrow mirror placed high on the wall above a dresser. Instinct tells me that this mirror must be the one. In my struggle to get to it - the 'monster' has found me. A decrepit body and face with wild, crazy eyes, a wide gaping mouth and messy, tangled hair. Female. She leaps toward me and begins gnawing on my left leg. I try to kick her off with my other leg but she persistently latches on. I spy a shotgun on a bedside table (convenient...), grab it and fire three shots into her face - nothing. She appears unaffected by it and keeps on gnawing. I accept defeat and wake myself up from the dream.
I awake in a sweat with my left leg sticking out from under the covers.
