In all seriousness, it is amazing how little some animals change through the centuries.
Nature sure is metal.
This skin is a mash up of two ammonite species: Nautilus and Scaphites. The shell was inspired by the first, while the beady eyes and overall body structure were skinned after the second.
The primary motivation was to make ancient squid as charming as its original quirky cousin. Cause squids need more love.
ps i can't get over the fact that huge isopods and chihuahuas share one planet
