I thought that I might be able to make my melanoid axolotl look slightly more realistic, so this was born. Or hatched, I don't know. Anyway, I tried to make the belly pale like real life, and make the gills more reddish. I also made the tail transparent like the early snapshot texture. I don't know why that was removed, axolotl tails are transparent for the most part. I don't know if it actually looks better than the old one, but maybe it'll grow on me.

They were the inspiration for the first version that this is based on. This one mostly adds the pale belly like it says above.
