During a period of the dragon era, before humans began exploring and building in the mysterious world that we roam today, dragon ruled upon one another with a lust for power.

In their hierarchy, dragons ruled and dominated via strength, so it was not usual for them to seek out absurd and cataclysmic means to gather said power to reap revenge or rule others.

One such dragon surfaced in a historical record, named Xoras. It was documented that he sought out the dream state of the dragons when they sleep, it was not entirely certain as to why he felt this was a sufficient means of power.

Theory suggests it would allow him to influence the subconscious thoughts of other dragons, causing them to act out the subconscious idea as a form of mind control.

Xoras did not find dreams, his incantations to the dream state led him somewhere much darker, nightmares. It was unclear if these were his true intentions, or the incantation was conducted incorrectly. But what he found granted him dark power that caused his body to transform and mutate into an abomination.

With new gained power, he slew countless dragons simultaneously at once in their nightmares, resulting in them to die in reality while they slept.

Rumor of his deeds gained ear of the highest authority, and they deemed the power he uses dishonorable and a violation to dragon kind, and so they sought him at night, for he was seeking sleeping minds and too unaware of their presence.

They attempted to slay him, but despite all of their power he could not die! Xoras broke from his incantations and a battle of many erupted, many dragons were slain in their attempt to thwart the nightmare, but since he could not die they tired out one by one.

A single wise dragon, an older one from the first dragon era remembered that silver was a means to hinder and even destroy unholy evils. And with this knowledge, he ordered silver chains to be devised as quickly as possible as the battles continued.

All but one dragon was left, the eldest. Before the dragon of nightmares could strike down the elder, silver chains glinted from the night, and shackled onto Xoras' body. His power immediately diminished, but he still could not die.

The nightmare dragon snarled and bellowed, "I am no longer Xoras, let the era be known I am Xor, Dragon of Nightmares". He cackled menacingly from their futile attempts to slay him, and so they agreed to imprison him inside a temple of silver, with the chains still shackling him to the floor so he could never escape or manipulate the nightmares of others again.

Eras and years passed, the silver ruins buried under centuries of existence. But Xor still existed, waiting and plotting for his revenge. But he could not escape his confines, that is until a strange being located the prison.

The figure walked up to the dragon casually, his steps echoing in the dark, hands in his pockets of his cloak. The dragon snarled and looked upon the being and said, "Small and weak you are, I will swallow you with a single bite".

The stranger chuckled, lifted his right arm in the air, and quicky swung his limb back down to his side. The chains shackling the dragon snapped in a blink of an eye. And the being said, "With the silver being severed, it no longer limits you".

Xor cackled maniacally, and without a hesitation lunged at the being. The dragon was met with a slam to his brain so hard, it shook his entire being as the strike bellowed through the prison, dust swept away from the concussive force.

The dragons pupils on his body dilated and shook, he felt fear for the first time since he discovered the nightmares. The dragon asked in a shaken voice, "How"?

The being lowered his fist and said, "You found my realm, and you made quite a fuss. Stirred up a lot of my creations, I had to kill a lot of them to remind them who is more powerful. It took me a long time to find you, and here you are".

The dragon was confused and surprised at the words he just said, "I had to kill a lot of them to remind them who is more powerful". The dragon felt more fear, and looked upon the small being with his various eyes. Xor said, "What do you want with me"?

Standing quietly for a minute, the stranger said, "I'm here to bring you back, we have work to do".

The dragon agreed out of fear and curiosity, and they both walked out of the prison together. As they walked side by side, the stranger said, "By the way...I'm Guts"...
