just a mod to enable NPC (alex and steve)

you will say that Alex (or Alexandra, in full name) and Steve are not real players.

no, you are wrong inside the Minecraft JAR file we can find some Textures called respectively "alex.png" and "steve.png"

unfortunately in the minecraft entitylist there are NO entities called "Alex" or "Steve"

this mod inserts in the code Minecraft two simple strings to introduce two entities called respectively "alex" and "steve"

maven.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.17.1-37.1.1/forge-1.17.1-37.1.1-installer.jar of compatible forge version

When does you update the mod to 1.19? I really want to add Players into the game, instead of mobs.

will that work in MC 1.17.1 Fabric too ?
If "no": ... is it possible to rebuild it able for fabric ?

the code is available on github, unfortunately since I used a template for forge 1.17.1 I don't know, if you want you can try to modify the code with visual studio (recommended) or IntelliJ idea community (just as good but problems can occur) or you can via mcreator try to recompile the mod by changing the template from forge to fabric (bugs can occur, but I don't know) a version for fabric is currently under development. (sorry for the bad english but i'm italian and i'm using google translate)

Forge: I have servers but on Paper, not on Forge, so it will not work atm.

Fabric: I use 16/17/18 Fabric Versions on my Client, because it stable/better for the actual Version of MC since Microsoft remodulate a lot of the old Mojang Files in the Engine and Game-Mechanic behaviour to rebuild MC to their new targets in that Game (sad).

Visual Studio: Its a nice have to and you can do a lot of things with it, but it is not able to help you to build "Spigot/Paper" Mods after the 16.5 Version (atm).

MC Create: Have the same Problem, cant build "neutral" Versions after 16.5. Only Packs Forge and Bukkit (max 16.5/1.17.1 atm) possible.

Here you need JAVA Knowledge to "build" your own pack of Helpers to build "Server Mods 17.1+" in a neutral Version - without the Mod-packer-versions of Forge or Fabric.

Maybe I will have a look inside some new Mods from others who have build a neutral version of anything - without Fabric/Forge and will found a solution for that "neutral 1.17.1-18 server Version" problem.
