With Neuro's amazing Realistic Breeding Mod, you can submerse yourself in the beauty of animal reproduction. This mod offers male and female types of many creatures, pregnancy, mating season, and so much more.

If you're a modder and want to know how to make your animals compatible with this mod, head over to this link (WIP). Adding compatability with this mod is now as simple as can be! (WARNING: Using this to alter mobs not from your own mod is possible, but is not permitted. DO NOT do this.)
Tutorial - Add BreedingRealism Compatability With Your Mod's Animals!
NEW:
- Easter egg: Naming a female rabbit "myLittleProlificBunny" will cause her to birth 5 rabbits instead of 1 at the end of her pregnancy.
- Pregnancy times are fixed!
- Pregnancy times are affected by the gamerule "randomtickSpeed", the higher the value, the quicker the animal passes through her gestation period. Setting to 9999 is almost instant.
- Textures have been added!
- Fertilised egg drops a normal egg once broken, in the future, only eggs collected from breaking near the end of the fertilised egg's growing time can be thrown to spawn baby chicks.
- Baby chicken no longer makes two sounds of different kinds at the same time.
- Mod is now balanced enough to play on SP and SMP!
- As far as I can tell, all animals are now supported.
- Added modder animal compat support!
- Recipes for the teat, milk bottle, and tagger; as follows:

in real life, cows breeding is really hard, the animal takes more than 2 years to grow (depending on the breed, the cow will take 2 years or even 6 years to grow through) but when the cow is adult and the people kill they, the meat is more than 200 kilograms
also, what about improving the milk? like, a cow can be milked only after having calves, and make the milk more useful, maybe make it be good for food.
It would be better if this mod adds gender only for vanilla animals, not for animals from mods... in the ExoticBirds, for exemple, the male peacock some times is tagged as female by the tagger, and it only breeds with female peahens that are tagged as male by the tagger, and I hate this
can you also do this mod work with Baby Animal Model Swapper? it would be perfect to have animals with gender, but not babys with weird bighead models
I'm at a hectic point in my life atm. I've been busy sorting other things out like work, etc.
I'm not gonna lie, I had more spare time when I was doing all this stuff back then. And as much as I actually want to get things updated once and for all, I never find any time to do it. It friggin sucks.
I think it's at the point where I should look to giving the mod up to someone else who has the time.
And I hope some amazing modder can take up your project if need be.
it's a nice mod, but i can't use it in my server for now.
It should run alongside mo' creatures. However, it's up to Mo' creatures to supply models and texture for their animals. Breeding realism lets other developers do this, but it's up to them to do it.
As far as updating the mod goes, I've been pretty burnt out recently. Although I want to update it, I've got no motivation for it right now. Sorry.
