THE STORY



Starting out as a mod for Minecraft 1.5, Crafting Dead has been around for many years now. It was built on Ferullo’s Gun Mod, one of the first gun mods on the Minecraft scene and has since grown into a sizable server network constantly being enhanced with more content and features.

The mod itself adds in a multitude of zombies and guns, along with cosmetics and medical supplies. The guns are fully customisable with attachments and paints; they are competitive ready with accurate hit detection, latency compensation and recoil. Medical supplies include first aid kits, adrenaline and bandages enabling you to quickly escape, attack and recover from combat situations.

Hydration

Listed below are foods/drinks and their corresponding hydration value:

Apple, Rabbit Stew = 2
Carrot, Beetroot, Honey Bottle = 1
Chorus Fruit, Sweet Berries = 3
Enchanted Golden Apple, Golden Apple, Mushroom Stew, Suspicious Stew, Beetroot Soup, Melon Slice, Water Bottle = 5
Golden Carrot = 6



Ammo

Empty magazines come pre-loaded in guns when you craft them. To fill it you first need to remove the magazine from your gun by pressing 'J' (you can view what key unload is bound to in the controls screen). Then place the empty magazine in an anvil along with gun powder.





Magazines can be duplicated by placing the magazine in the centre of a crafting table and putting iron nuggets in each corner.





Some magazines can be upgraded to have a larger capacity (e.g. the RPK magazine). To do this, place the magazine in a crafting table and surround it with iron nuggets.





Equipment Menu



The equipment menu is accessible via pressing 'Z' (check the controls screen to see what it's bound to).



This menu allows you to customise guns (add attachments and paints), equip cosmetics such as hats and clothing, equip and view the contents of vests, carry knives and guns.



Recoil

All guns have an accuracy value. This value determines your recoil and also how accurate the gun hits a target. Recoil will increase when moving so its best to use guns when standing still or moving slowly. You'll aim best when crouching which you can do by double pressing shift (or whatever you sneak key is bound to). The longer you fire a gun for, the higher your recoil will be.



Enchanting

All guns can be enchanted via an enchanting table. The following enchantments are currently available:

• Power - this makes bullets explode upon impact. The higher the power, the bigger the explosion.
• Unbreaking - this reduces the ammo consumed when firing a gun. (A.K.A. when you fire a gun, it won't always decrease the ammo count)
• Amour Penetration - increases bullet armour penetration.
• Flame - sets block and entities on fire upon bullet impact.
