Custom HD Capes & Skins!
This is a mod that allows you to have Custom HD Capes & Skins!
It is very small, and doesn't rely on the Mojang servers!

Changing Skins/Capes
To change your skin/cape, you have to go to the .minecraft directory & go into the capes folder.
There, you will find 2 .txt files. Open them and put the URL to your skin on the first line.
The URL must contain the name of the player you want to change, such as imagehostingsite.com/Notch.png
HD Skins are not working as of now, but HD capes work fine.

No more relying on Mojang Servers!
With this mod, there is no more relying on Mojang's Servers to get your skin, meaning you will have your skin whilst other don't! Other players will not see your skin or cape though.

Using computer-stored files
If you don't want to use an image hosting site, you can use files on your computer instead!
First, you want to get the location where the skin is, such as C:User\Phase\Desktop\Folder\skin.png
Then replace all the "\" with "\\", this will be automatic in the future.
Boom! That's it!

Installation
Right now this mod is NOT Forge compatible.
- Go to the minecraft base folder (the official launchers shows it when you click "Edit Profile" as "Game Directory")
- Go in subfolder "Versions"
- Copy the 1.7.2 folder and save it there as another folder.
- Rename the folder "1.7.2" to "HDCapesSkins"
- Go in the subfolder "HDCapesSkins"
- Rename "1.7.2.jar" to "HDCapesSkins.zip"
- Rename "1.7.2.json" to "HDCapesSkins.json"
- Open the file "HDCapesSkins.json" with a text editor and replace "id":"1.7.2" with"id":"HDCapesSkins" and save the file
- Copy the files from the ZIP file you downloaded in "HDCapesSkins.jar" and remove the META-INF folder from "HDCapesSkins.jar".
- Start the official launcher
- Click "Edit Profile"
- Select "Use version:" -> "release HDCapesSkins"
- Click "Save Profile"
- Click "Play" or "Login" to start the game. If only "Play Offline" is available, then log out and log in again to fix it.

I'd appreciate it if you would try to make it work before commenting about how you can't get it to work. I spend a lot of time on these mods, and saying 'it doesnt work' annoys me a lot. Please FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS before commenting. I am getting sick of this.
