Minecraft Diamond Tipped Steel Mod

NOTICE: Updating to 1.8.9 may remove current DTS items from inventory!




Minecraft Diamond Tipped Steel Mod adds Steel to Minecraft! It even lets the player add a single diamond to a Steel Tool such as Pickaxe, Sword, Shovel, Axe, and Hoe! This increases it to be as FAST as Diamond Tools, but it is not as durable. This is mod is based on realism. This Mod is currently in 1.8.9 v1.2. More releases will come!

Installation:

Installation:


1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge version 1.8.9.


2. Download a mod for Minecraft Forge from this site, the Minecraft Forums or anywhere else!


3. Locate the minecraft application folder.
  • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata%\.minecraft\ and click Run.
  • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for minecraft.


4. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar or .zip file) into the Mods folder. Important: Extract .zip file in the 'mods' folder.

You must be using 1.8.9 Minecraft Forge. 1.8, 1.8.1, 1.8.5, 1.8.7, etc. will not work with it. It will also only work with 1.8.9 mods ONLY. Hope that helps.

Nice way to actually introduce steel into Minecraft! Very creative! +1 diamond from me! Can I make a texture patch for this mod for my texture pack? I think that'll help us both.
