The Scuba Gear Mod is a must-have for Minecraft divers as it adds four diving equipment pieces that greatly enhance underwater exploration. These pieces can be obtained by looting drowned mobs near Ocean Ruins, but they will likely be damaged. Fortunately, players can repair them using an anvil and iron.
Once repaired, the diving equipment provides better underwater performance and increased security, although it will take damage every four seconds while in use. It's worth noting that the diving equipment offers the same protection level as iron armor.
One of the four diving equipment pieces is the helmet, which allows players to breathe underwater without fear of drowning unless the damage indicator is fully depleted. The chestplate enables players to mine blocks at normal speed, while the leggings slightly increase swim speed. Wearing the boots increases walking speed underwater.
