What's new in this version:

-updated to 1.7.10, any planned features you can read up at my website!

In this mod you will encounter a new sword type. As you use these swords in combat their damage bar will continue to fill up. Once it is completely full the sword can be put onto a crafting bench to get it's evolved form. (If you enchant the sword crafting it to evolve it will remove the enchantment). The swords can only evolve if the damage bar is completely full, but you do not have to worry about it being overfilled.

Once the swords are at their top level you can craft them again in the same way as before to obtain essences which are used to create the rarer items with powerful effects.

All tools, (excluding swords), can be crafted on a crafting grid to make them into their stackable, but unusable form and back again when you want the useable form.

Essences will continue to be an important part of this mod so stock up for future updates.

No Problem and there are mods to make conflicting mods compatable so look for those if you have an issue otherwise all the mods I have made are fully compatable with each other

Not sure I do use mediafire with adfly which are compatable but not supported compatable, so not sure once I get to updating this mod I will look into it. Just have been very busy lately so I apologize in advance for the delay.

ok so, I tried it on my single player and its still not working for some reason. all the recipes are fine but my lv 1 diamond sword isn't gaining exp when I hit things like it used to. im using the same version of the mod (current) that I used in a different single player before I attempted a lan and it worked just fine. having said that I don't know that the lan is actually the thing breaking it. any other ideas on why it would not work in that aspect?

edit: sorry for all the posts and edits and stuff. since im the only 1 really commenting it must be a tad annoying >.> but I redownloaded the mod and the peripat swords are working now but the regular 1s still aren't. no clue if I did something to break it or not >.<

1.Not annoying at all
2.Peripat swords and regular swords work differently you have to craft the regular swords to get them to evolve
3.No reason it shouldn't work on lan (in it's current version), but I have never tested it. The next update with a new armor could have the slightest possibility of not working with lan
4. Armors will work but without editing base classes I could not get them to evolve properly so more materials will be needed every level.
5. Update will be soon just have to finish the last bits of coding, will try to make it work on servers. 1 new armor will be added in the update. Not gonna give a time frame though kinda bad at guessing.

happy to hear armors are soon. this is still I think my favorite mod of all time. ist literally always installed in my game lol.

ok so to clarify, I wasn't just TMI'ing in the full exp bar swords and derping around wondering why they didn't gain exp. I gave myself 1 then crafted it into the next tier so the bar would reset. it was (and still isn't) gaining any exp for me and I cant for the life of me figure out why. the periapt swords weren't working when I initially made this post either but since the redownload of the mod they've worked. its just the regular ones for some reason.

edit: oh by the way, have you heard of the gilded swords mod? its also a level-up-type mod for weapons and tools. they keep track of exp a tad differently than you do. the textures are neat and my gf enjoys the bow in it. having said that, your mod is better lol.. oo, lightbulb, make an evolving bow?

bow maybe but it requires 3 textures each a sword that fires an arrow might be more fun for me to do. I will look at the swords before I update and see if anything has one wrong.

dont u have to retexture swords when u make them too? sword would be neat. just thought a bow would be cool cuz u could upgrade the dmg AND the pull speed or something. sword that shoots arrowssss.. and looks like an arrow? ur gettin into weird shizz now lol sounds cool tho.

edit: so I have kind of a request for you but obviously totally up to you. im playing that other level-up mod that I told u about cuz I like having the tools. however, I hate that they break which is why I LOVE your mod. I kno its prolly a lotta work because of the textures as you said but would it be possible for you to make a full set of tools that evolve. or at least a diamond set. I would totally settle for just a diamond set. just something close to your swords instead of only 'godly' versions. I guess I just really like how ur swords came out and I wish there were more aspects like those in the mod. that's my 2 cents. keep up the good work :) I like the premise u have of evolving the swords in order to make the godly items. I just think it would be neat to make a line of tools to make godly tools instead of using the sword gems as them.

Nice video. the new stuff looks fun. btw thanks for the shout-out in the descript. :D. just noticed it today lol. I was hoping id find something bout the installation.I know the folders you have the contents in are clearly labeled 'assets' and 'mod' but no matter whereI put them, the mod wont work. it doesn't BREAK anything. it just simply doesn't appear in-game. help? i really wana try your new items xD (still in love with this mod and the textures of the weapons)

just put the .zip file in this folder with minecraft forge installed in minecraft. The minecraft forge installation has changed since 1.6.2 so look for a tutorial on youtube on how to install minecraft forge.

Armors are coming soon I am encountering some minor difficulties in rendering armor textures. Sorry for the delays

thanks for the tip on the new forge installation. wasn't complicated but totally wouldn't have done it that way had I not seen a vid. bout to test ur mod and 1 or 2 more after it downloads w/e its downloading in the launcher. when/if u get the armor figured out are u gonna have it created in a similar way to the weapons?

edit: ok so.. which 'mod' folder and which 'assets' folder am I supposed to be putting these files in? the 1s in the modded 'version' folder or the 1 just in the .minecraft folder? I still cant figure it out >.<

yes im gonna do some armors, I've already strayed away from just weapons and I have a new tool in the next update in the works. The next update shouldn't take too long to do.

as for armor it could be longer wait on that it has a bigger texture file.

now, are the armors gonna be nerfed at all or are they going to be just like the weapons in that they get stronger as u go? unbreakable armor stronger than diamond would b op lol, it would b cool as heck tho. meh, cant wait, uve done an awesome job thus far

I am actually unsure of the premise of how armor blocks damage, what I think is its maxed out by the armor bar if that is the case then you will see all the armor as indestructible but it gives a constant or temporary boost that improves as you level up, but if it works out the way I hope I will have them in just as the swords work and dabble on the potion effects.

potion effects would be appropriate considering the final tier weapons. onlyreason i ask is cuz i like to leae 1 stage 4 diamond sword to use cuz its indestructible. its realllyyy awesome. chances are id do that with the armor too once u come out with it lol. more than anything looking forward to the textures of each item. this is by far my favorite gear mod for minecraft. will u make 2 matching sets coming off of the diamond armor to match olaf and the thorn?? :D

so im thuroughly enjoying your evilving weapons mod. its utterly fantastic. i was jw if you might be able to change the look of the swords as they evolve? it would put a move "evolutiony" feel to it. ok my diamond sword is almost lvl 3, gonna go finish that up lol. bye!

ATTENTION: DO NOT PLAY THIS MOD WITH LANTERN MOD!!!

I smelted an iron sword, and it gave me an empty lantern. I smelted a diamond sword, it gave me a head torch. Is there any way I can change the item IDs to not make this happen?

added a mirror download with alternate IDs it might help with the compatability issue. I do hope on developing a method of creating a perfectly compatable modding system. (probably distant future)

probably, but on my end it would be much easier I can change the ItemIDs in the next update or add a different download with alternative Ids.

i wish the couple end items u have were a bit stronger sicne it takesà a bit to make them (the axe and the thorn) but other than that its a fantastic mod and adds a cool rpg feel to the weapons which is funà to go along with the other rpg mods i use. diamond and fave for you sir

edit: evolving armor somewhere in the future too maybe? :3

The items are powerful enough the axe gains uses from breaking blocks and the thorn from tilling soil. Personally I was trying not to overdo it since I have put in ways for even diamond to be renewable.

As for evolving armor, I am unsure I have at least two Ideas that I have been working on so you can expect to see evolving armors sometime soon.

oh, didnt kno that about the 2 gaining uses. was just expecting something with a bit more damge since it took, if i remember correctly, a few lvl 5 diamond swords to make them? or at least 1 of them.

is there a more in depth description somewhere to the mod or did i just miss something that said the thing about renewing the uses with breaking blocks and tilling soil?

Well it takes the essence of a lvl 5 diamond sword for each pact and each pact makes one major weapon when the right ingredients are added. They aren't about brute and raw damage but actually for the potion effects they grant. Right click with the axe you get resistance 2 bonus etc. I have the website up that way it can be continually edited and referenced instead of packing a new overly long txt file with the mod. I will write a description for each legendary item in my mod on the site so if it ever changes you can see it there on its own page like that of an encyclopedia instead of one long txt file like that of an unorganized ancient scroll.
