Hello!

This is my very first mod, which started out as an experiment to see what you could do, and to understand how to do it. Therefore, there was nothing special I wanted to make, but when I got started by changing the number of trees in a forest, I couldn't stop and I kept on changing and testing. A few hours later, I was happy with the result and posted it on reddit, where it got many positive reactions. :D So, I figured I could post it here aswell.

Since this was created mostly by just experimenting around, I can't really tell the exact changes I made, but forests are denser, and there is more trees and foliage overall. Height variables are greatly increased, and so the world generator has more freedom and contrast. I also thought I accidentally made villages spawn in forests, but now I know that I just made the spawn rate for trees on plains way too high. = 3= However, a fellow redditor made me aware of a very simple way to decide in which biomes villages spawn, so now they actually do spawn in forests. :D I also made them spawn in snow plains, but it looked quite dumb with perma-frozen farms and villages on icy lakes.

I have tested this by the best of my ability, but by all means let me know if you find any bugs. You do not need to download ModLoader or any other black-screen-causing strangeness. And even though I didn't notice it myself at first, and it was certainly not intentional, redditors pointed out that Generational looks like a mix of 1.7.3 terrain and the 1.0 one. So if you're tired of the qutie plain 1.0 terrain generation, I do hope that you will find this useful and enjoyable. :D

One last humble thing; I can't seem to be able to get everything right with the server version, so if some could please take their time to describe what to do from the beginning, I'd be most grateful. Excuse my noobiness. :D

You must delete the META-INF folder, or Minecraft will crash upon creating/entering a world.

This mod is great. But I think that someone should make a simple terrain generator changer. It's mildly easy to minimum difficult to type Java for these things, but not everyone wants to learn it. I'm not sure if this is important enough for me to post a thread about it, so I figured I'd bring it up here. A simple editor would just have a regular options menu (not inside of Minecraft, but it's own, independent program) with meters for how flat the map should be, how many trees, how large caves and ravines are, how trees spawn, the amount/ frequency of villages and dungeons, and other miscellaneous tools. Then, it could create a new terrain generating file (I think those files come near tl.class) in the minecraft.jar file. This is only a suggestion and should be regarded as so.

This has been what i have been wanting, 1.7.3 was the end of good generating biomes in my opion, but this bring back some of it, so i'll be sure to say "Hi" to the download button. :D
