MinecraftImmersiveHUD
See pinned comment below for information about the future of this mod.
This Minecraft mod aims to move the ingame HUD out of the way whenever possible. Whenever an element updates
(i.e., health changes, you swap items, you look at something, etc.), the respective item will show
up. However, once you've been able to see the information, it will fade away and allow you to enjoy
your game without the clutter of unneeded HUD elements.
The following elements will only show up under certain conditions:
- The health and armor bars will only show up when your health changes (i.e. after taking damage), when your health is low or when holding
- food.
- The hunger bar will only show up when your hunger level (not your saturation) changes, you are hungry, or when holding food.
- The experience bar and level will only show upon gaining experience.
- The health of your mount (i.e. your horse) will only show when its health changes.
- The horse jump bar will only show when you are getting ready to jump.
- The hotbar will only show when an item you are holding changes or you change which slot is selected.
- The crosshair will only show when you are looking at something or you are using a bow, crossbow, shield, or trident or holding a throwable
- item.
- The hands will show only when you use an item or are holding/using one of the above specified items, or a map.
- Potions will only show up when just applied or about to run out.
Installing
There are two variants of this mod: One for Forge, and the other for Fabric. Each release comes with jar files for both. You can download the appropriate jar file and place it within the "mods" folder within your Minecraft installation.
Forge
- To install forge, first download the latest version of the Forge installer for your version of Minecraft from files.minecraftforge.net.
- Run the Jar file (you may need to give it permission to run). Be sure that "Install client" is selected and that the path points to your Minecraft installation. Click "O.K." The installer will then download the needed files and add a new installation profile to the Minecraft launcher.
- Next, start up the launcher. You will find a new installation called "forge," using a custom 1.16.x-forge-xx.x.xx version. Launch it. You will see some additional text on the loading screen as Forge initializes any mods.
Upon startup, you will see some text at the bottom-left of the main menu displaying the version of Forge, MCP (a component of Forge), and how many mods are loaded (there should be 2 if this is the first time you installed Forge: one for Minecraft, one for Forge). There will also be a new "Mods" button on the main menu where you can see which mods are installed and configure any options they may have.
- To finish up, exit the game and pull up your game directory (you can find this by clicking the "Installations" tab on the launcher and then clicking the installation you used). There will now be a "mods" folder in the directory. Download the forge version of Immersive HUD and place it in the "mods" folder. Boot up the game again and the mod will be ready to go.
Fabric
- You can download the Fabric Loader installer at www.fabricmc.net. You can download either the Universal/.Jar file or (if you are on Windows) the Windows/.Exe file. Note that it does not matter which Minecraft version you use; the installer will work for any Minecraft version greater than 1.14.
- Run the Installer file (you may need to give it permission to run). Be sure that the "Client" tab is selected and that the path points to your Minecraft installation. Select the Minecraft version you want to install Fabric for, as well as loader version 0.11.2. Make sure that the "Install profile" option is checked. Click "Install." The installer will then download the needed files and add a new installation profile to the Minecraft launcher. Click "O.K." on the popup.
- Next, start up the launcher. You will find a new installation called "fabric-loader-1.XX.XX" (depending on the Minecraft version you selected). Launch it.
Upon startup, you will see some text at the bottom-left saying that Minecraft is modded.
- To finish up, exit the game and pull up your game directory (you can find this by clicking the "Installations" tab on the launcher and then clicking the installation you used). There will now be a "mods" folder in the directory. Download the fabric version of Immersive HUD and place it into the "mods" folder. Boot up the game again and the mod will be ready to go.
Mod Compatibility
Optional:
Cloth: Install this mod for the ability to configure the timings of fading.
Mod Menu: If playing on Fabric, you may want this mod to be able to configure the timings in-game.

9 Update Logs
End of Maintenance. : by Markil3 03/11/2022 5:40:05 pmMar 11th, 2022
Hello, everyone.
I've recently taken on a new job, and, due to the
demands of a full-time developer job, I will no longer be able to
maintain this project. I've had a lot of fun with it, but continuing it
for the future is simply unfeasible.
With that said, I am willing to
transfer the project, copyright and all, to someone else who is willing
to maintain it. If you happen to be interested, email me at markil3@tutanota.com and we can discuss it.
Once a transfer is complete, I will post an update here and on the README file of the GitHub repository.
I thank you all for the support you've shown in this.
May God bless you all,
Markil 3

could you please upload this to curseforge? so I can install it on aternos, a free server host. In the meantime I'll be using the hell out of it on singleplayer :)
If you could link to my website in the description, that would be nice, as well.
I'm glad you're enjoying the mod!
If you want to try it yourself, you can download the source code from my GitHub website (just click the "More Information" and select the branch you want from the drop-down near the top-left) and follow the build instructions to make the mod yourself (i.e., running the "gradlew build" command on the command line). Otherwise, there is something else I want to do before a new release, so you could wait until then as well.
Thanks for the great product
