M113 is a US armored personnel carrier. It was developed in 1957-1959. It was put into mass production in January 1960; production continued until 2007. For a long time, it remained the main armored personnel carrier of the United States, was also supplied in significant quantities to other countries and was used in many armed conflicts.The total number of M113 armored personnel carriers produced, including vehicles based on it, amounted to more than 88,000 units. As of 2022, they are used in more than 44 countries around the world, including the United States, although they are gradually being replaced by more modern machines.
