This Fabric mod makes it possible for you to oxidize lightning rods. The lightning rods oxidize over time and you can wax them at any stage you want.
All you need to do is to craft the normal lightning rod and it will oxidize over time.

There is no way currently for you to let the rods oxidize over time, you need to right-click on them.
I am still working on it, which means this feature will be added in the future.
