The Otherworld - Reborn (1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.20.4) Minecraft Mod

The Otherworld is the story of a new dimension, with five different worlds in one.

Each world is unique, having their own dirt, stone, grass, trees, and sky.

The Otherworld - Reborn (1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.20.4) Minecraft Mod

The dimension itself consists of floating chunks of land completely alien to each other.

Below the flat surface of the terrain, the lands are steep and rough to navigate, and underneath the islands is the void, waiting to swallow the ones who fall.

Each world even has its own fantasy race that lives within the bounds of their land. They have set up villages and farms. Some try to live in peace, while others would rather fight for their lands.

Each player has their own unique story within the game. They are their own character and can make their own choices. However, these choices impact their gameplay and have consequences.

Occupations:

Players will have different professions within the game. Some can be chosen and worked towards, others will be assigned based on the choices of the player.

Traveler: The default starting occupation for the Player, the traveler lives by their own rules and will go as they please.

Soldier:
As a soldier, the player will be assigned quests to complete. They are loyal, honest, and will fight for their race.

Criminal: A player will only become a criminal by killing one of their own. Soldiers of their race will target them and will put them in jail if caught.

Quests:

Depending on the player's occupation, they can be assigned Quests, when completed will give them rewards such as items, experience, and will progress their story.

There are different types of quests, such as combat focused or obtaining the required item. Most quests require the player to return to the NPC who has assigned them the quest to complete. The quest assigner's name tag will be colored blue to differentiate them from other NPCs.

The quests are story-focused, so different players will receive different quests depending on their race, gender, and occupation.

Bounties:

Players who are career criminals of the highest rank will have bounties over their heads! Other players can choose to hunt down and slay a dangerous criminal player for certain rewards if assigned the bounty by a soldier NPC. This feature only works with two or more players.

NPC Interactions:

Players will be able to have complex interactions with NPCs within the game. They have dialogue, relationships, and will trade with their own type of currency.

Relationships:

Different actions have consequences, and NPC will remember your actions. If you give them food, gifts, or trade with them, your relationship status will increase. If you hurt them, your relationship status will decrease drastically. This affects the dialogue of the NPC, and even the cost of the trades. If they are friendly towards you, they can even fall in love and get married to you. You can even have children with them.
NPC interactions not only apply to the player, but to other NPCs as well. Other NPCs can get married to others, have children of their own.

Dialogue:

Based on your relationship with the NPC, your race, your gender, your occupation, and any wars going on, the NPC will be able to talk to you. Dialogue is supported through resource packs, which means you can have your own dialogue rather than the default. More information about the technical details will be on the wiki page, which is currently being developed.

Note: Most of the dialogue is still under development.

Trading:

The NPCs will be able to trade with you like regular Villagers in the Overworld. However, instead of emeralds, each race has their own unique currency. For example, the Onis trade with iron ingots. NPCs can even trade with each other and buy food from others with their currency. Trades will also be affected by relationships. Hostile relationships will raise prices, while friendly relationships will lower them and give discounts.

More info will be on the Wiki Page on Curseforge coming soon! :D
