My 1:1 recreation of the Project R-5757 salvage Tugboat "Nikolay Chiker.
The project R-5757 is a class of 2 ships built by Finland for the soviet union. At the time of comissioning, they were the largest and most powerful tugs in the world. The Nikolay Chiker is commonly known as "Kuzi's tugboat" as it is known to be the escorting tug of the Admiral Kuznetsov. It also towed Varyag from Ukraine to China in the late 1990s. In 2000, the Nikolay Chiker was one of the ships to take part in the rescue of the Oscar II. class sibmarine "Kursk", and is the ship that first inspected the wreckage. It has also been suspected of being a spy ship, as it was seen near important NATO naval installations.
The second ship in the class, the "Fotiy Krylov" has a less interesting story, but it is the only ship of the class that is in civillian service.
