After a few years and MANY requests, I started a build line of 4 blocks wide about 1.5:1 scale vehicles. I'm still building 5 blocks wide about 2:1 scale. I'll post the scale in the title and block count in the description. But you need to pay attention to the post, Make sure your downloading the correct scale build.

A change in the build. I didn't like the look of the green truck, White bed. Changed to white truck, Green bed.

The Mack DM series was a line of heavy-duty trucks, The DM was a heavy duty "U", The "U" was short hood, Offset cab. The “U” and “DM” series were modifications of the “R” series. A short hood, and the shorter “bumper to back of cab” distance, made them useful in straight trucks and in semi-tractors used in congested cities, but caused the engine to intrude into the passenger compartment. To compensate the cab was offset to the left: the engine “doghouse” intruded into the passenger footwell but left the driver’s position intact.
The U was basically a short R, while the DM was an extra heavy duty version often used in 6X4 construction trucks. Like the RMM, the DMM was all wheel drive, but had not only a short hood/offset cab, but also a set back front axle, requiring a model specific fiberglass hood/fender arrangement

Some of the milestones in how the trash was picked up, (the Heil Collecto,) which hit the streets in 1929, this model had a bucket hopper on the side of the truck that would lift trash and dump it into the back of the truck through an opening in the top.
Invented by George Dempster (yep, that’s why they’re called “dumpsters”), the Dempster-Dumpster system used large bins that garbage men would fill with trash, (The Garwood Load Packer) was one of the first vehicles to utilize a compactor, increasing the truck's hauling capacity and reducing the costs of larger payloads. The Packer was introduced in 1938, but significant numbers weren't manufactured until after world war II. By 1949, over 2500 of these trucks were in use across the US and Canada. Almost all waste collection vehicles today utilize some type of compaction mechanism.
