So I guess a little story is in order.
It was 2010 and after buying a fairly new graphics card I went out to buy a game for my computer and saw a title in the 20$ bin that my friends had been tellingme of. This game was ME1. I played that game and soon bought the sequeland was amazed that story is still alive and well in games, especially in an age of oWorld of Warcrafto and oCall of dutyo Where short term gratification and cardboard thincharacters are #1 in most titles.Fast forward about 6 months and into 2011 a little gamecame out from Mojang productions called Minecraft. So in the middle of creating the 90th castle made of stone I started work on a star destroyer andsoon grew bored of it, and then one of my friends made an off the collar remark that it would be cool if someone built the Citadel in the game if you truly can build oanythingo you want. Reminding him of the height limitations of the game it donned on me, the game cant build space stations but I think I could build a 1/1 scale Normandy.
Thus my task began.
I found editing programs for Minecraft and studied the layout of the decks in Mass effect 2 and starting with the
captains cabin and working my way down I built the decks. Then I built the shipos super structure around it, making changes here and there to accommodate the size of the decks and the bat crap crazy way it is
laid out deck 2. (It just does not fit it is too short needs to be longer agghhhhh)
So here is the finished product afterabout say a month of working about 3 or so hours a day it is finished.
and I thought it would be best to let fellow creators of crazy stuff see it before I go posting about it on deviant art or something.
