so we are doing 14 inks now, because if we want 16 we would need listeners for the 0000 binary value. we could do 15 but 14 is an even number :)

Yay! someone else is attempting a 3d printer :D

Allthough, you might want to know that, if you are going to make this 3d AND fully programmable that you are going to need a massive amount of memory.

12.5KB to be presice :S, and currently with the limitations of minecraft, 12.5kb is impossible, well 12.5KB of SRAM. 12.5kb of ROM is possible, but extremely inefficient and would lag the server/ssp terribly. you would also need 12500 blocks in a feeder, which will be huge.

oh, one last thing, 20x20x20*, how are you going to do the last 20? it seems.... well with the current push limit of 12 blocks and all >.>

I would suggest going for somthing more possible, then up-scaling that, and then up-scaling that more. and also probably making it 6 color instead of 16.

I hope i have helped, as the origonal design would be.. well it wouldn't work.

color injection is perfectly working we used RAM to time all the inputs and reset once command is executed,, we are doing 14 inks, because we are using a 4-bit decoder = 16 inputs but 00 wont work unless we install listeners, and that would make the circuit slower,, so we are just goin with 14 inks,, and we made 15 a function to stop the printer :) yes we neeed a lot of memory and we found a lot of compacts ways to store more in less space :) and id love it if you could come to my server and check my printer out :D pm me for ip X)

Wow, nice job. We at the UTD are working on a large printer similar to this, fully programmable of course. Perhaps you would be interested in joining.

We are a group dedicated to expanding and evolving tech. Here is our link:

Well actually, rivu's is much larger than ours. We have no issue admitting it, and now we shall help him with completion.
