i have been playing around with post apocalyptic texture packs for a while now and have noticed a few things:
1: why is there a lack of maps made for them?
2:the 3 i have tried all have elements i love and i think would go well together
3:i outta make a map for the 2 reasons above
so, i got an idea. im gonna make a map custom tailored to elements of 3 excellent texture packs, and (hopefully) be able to include the mish-mashed pack i made to do it.
so heres the maps back story, without further ado
what if tensions against your land from others were high, and what everyone thought was a full blown nuclear escalation was happening-but didnt kick off?
thats where you come in. after years of hearing threats from enemy nations of annihilation, everyone in your area has fled or moved into bunkers. you where an ex-military veteran, and had a spot in a bunker reserved for your service. you knew that if an escalation happened, your country would fight back-with more nukes- so you decided to take up your spot in the bunker thinking-knowing-nowhere was safe accept in a bunker.
then it happened. sirens went off-the nukes where launched, and you and everyone else rushed for there bunker. you here an explosion just after reaching your room. 2 months go by, you here nothing from the outside, but decide tostrap on a hazord suite and see what was left of your home. when you exit, every thing is untouched. with only your fellows in the bunkers across the area left in the land, yet all contact to the outside world beond your country mysteriosly lost, is this a blessing? or a curse?
also, i might not beable to release the custom made packin the project if the admins tell me not to OR if i do not recieve permission, in wich case the project is swamped. once i get permission, i will post it in an update and let you guys know the project will still be kicking

Additional Notes
updates to this pack will be completely random in time between them, so don't expect weekly or daily updates. also, im not releasing the project until i hit the 50% mark. i want it to at least have the ground work done before i have people testing it and giving feedback. i will try to include screen shots every update though.also, i might not beable to release the custom made packin the project if the admins tell me not to OR if i do not recieve permission, in wich case the project is swamped. once i get permission, i will post it in an update and let you guys know the project will still be kicking

well, i have made much more progress with the pack. groundwork is all done, and the only thing stopping me from releasing a beta is currently the permissions to use my mish-mash texture pack, as i call it. currently i am either waiting on a response or negotiating the conditions for using the parts i borrowed. at any rate, this update will include new screenshots.

1: sweet variation, just hope they dont take it down since they took the original down
2: glad you like the project. i have done quite a bit more work in the one day since i posted this, and even more work will be done in the days to come. so far it looks like i will be able to include the mish-mashed texture pack so long as i get permission and give credit, so things are looking good!
2. I actually use the fallout texture pack! it works great. and I hope you get this done a lot faster than I'm getting done with my Pokemon Kanto map. yeah, I'm really being slow with that one.
