Abe Lenstra Stadion is the stadium of SC Heerenveen club currently playing in the Eredivisie. The stadium is designed with blue stands, white stripes along with the iconic red water lilies of Friesland. Built in 1993 and inaugurated on 20 August 1994, it now has a number of maintenance upgrades that have an official capacity of 26,100 seats and meet UEFA's fourth-tier stadium standard. It is also named after SC Heerenveen club legend Abe Lenstra, who died at the age of 64 in 1984. The ground is mainly used in SC Heerenveen matches in the Eredivisie and has been used at a few European Cup matches ( EUFA Cup and EUFA Champions League )
