"Have you ever been so cold you thought warmth was a myth told by your parents to make you sleep at night? No? Well gather 'round, for I have a tale to share. Deep within the more northern reaches of the world, there is a crater older than time cares to remember where cold itself is said to have been born. No one knows how or why, but soon as you step into that crater... well, let's say not many people come back with all of their fingers. It's a crater too cold for any person to survive in, yet a vast pine forest resides within this place; immune to the cold, it stands tall and resilient. To survive in this realm is the ultimate challenge; those who do go at their own risk. Will you survive the land of Aesculus and make it your own?”

Welcome to the third custom terrain to be produced by Paradox, and the first to make use of our vast archive of pine trees also available in the latest version of our P.E.P. pack. The map itself is made to look like a large basin/crater filled with a vast pine forest. To help add the illusion of this being an extremely cold environment, thick snow covers the ground and slopes down the edges of the crater. We see this map as a perfect starting point for those who want to try and make a survival games map or to create your own winter-style spawn, though you could use this terrain for anything winter themed you could think of.
