Steve enters the cavern, down the rickety wooden steps. Below him, a sheer drop plunges down onto the stone floor below, the broken pieces of the walkway only serve to emphasize your fate if you stumble. After a few minutes of absorbed descent he reaches a stable landing. It is there that he hears breathing and turns quickly to face it. His eyes widen, there kneels Alichino, left hand free of his shackles, with the mighty cavern supported by his back. He is weeping red hot tears which roll into the nearby lava lake, the lava lake falls down a great chasm in the Earth's crust into a boiling cauldron in the shrouded abyss. Next to the lava lake, but also falling into the chasm, is a subterranean river, it is dotted with pockets of light, but even this seems dark like the embers of dying stars. Tall thin trees rise up out of the polluted water, like swamp trees and their willow like leaves drape down, resembling claws.
Steve turns his attention back to the shackles, amazed at such a bounty of gold and silver that went into creating them. Without thinking he pulls out his pick.
