This is my submission for the PMC Caved In Contest. I was going to make a Shadow Realm sort of deal, but ended up going the other direction with gold and glowstone. The build was meant to have a very holy and fortunate feel, which I myself definitely see when looking at the cave. I am very happy with the result, and I hope you are too.

The gods of Water, Earth, and Light have long been at war. Brothers of different fathers, the three fight for the throne of the world. Torinamous, god of the Earth and of the Forest, rests in the caves and in his green gardens. Cerisious, god of the Water and of the Sea, rests beneath the crashing, ever blue waves that never cease to be in constant motion. However the more powerful of the gods, Corinaous, god of the Light and of the ever-burning Sun rests above the clouds within his sanctum of light.
However, only one group does not fret over the war of the gods. Rather, they respect each, paying their sacrifices in equal amounts. These are the Alorians, who have made their home in a cave, closed off to the outside world through dense walls of stone. Making residence along the cliffs of the cave, houses made of gold and wool. Trees litter the cave, gifts from Torinamous, whose respect for those who show no weakness never dwindles. Waters flood the cave and rich streams fall from above, for Cerisious supports those who are wise in their actions. And of course, how could one not notice the gold and lights that line themselves along the walls of the cave, for Corinaous is none but the god of wealth.
And who is to receive these goods? None but the people who long only to escape from their underground sanctum, and wish to see what lies above the surface. Corinaous taunts them with a so called chance of escape, however strikes down those who attempt to utilize such a path. For he demands solitary respect, he wishes not to be worshiped beside his brothers, but alone and all powerful. Who are these mortals to defy him of his rights? And so every day he taunts them with the delicacy of pure light, which can be seen, but never reached.
And so the people of Aloriana, the city that shows no darkness, who reside in their homes of wealth, and who drink the purest of waters, and who feel the fresh earth beneath their feet, live in turmoil over false hope. For they know that there is no means of escape, no matter how close they may get. They may feel the touch of crisp air in their lungs, and feel free, but only for the moment, before the cold hand of Corinaous strikes them dead. And the other gods, what are they to do? How could they do anything but laugh at the feud between god and mortal, who fight like children, as they grow in power.
And who is to save Aloriana from their godly foes? Perhaps a stranger, a hero who appears from the walls of nowhere and nothingness. Perhaps he wields magic, or is blessed by and unknown force, or his own false gods. Perhaps this hero needs nothing but his will to help those who are loyal. Or perhaps he only needs a home. Who will this hero be, if he is true? Will he be a mighty force that not even the gods can dream to defeat? How will Aloriana ever know, if they ever do?
