If you want to download this world, don't be afraid to ask. I just won't upload it if nobody asks for it.
Here's a project I've recently finished. It's a library that could theoretically be made in Minecraft Alpha 1.2.0_02 as all the blocks in it could be placed, in one way or another, in that version of the game.
it's mostly one open room with one floor level and two balcony levels, but there is also a terrace at the front and an observatory at the back
two of my inspirations for the build are the John Rylands Library for the front and Trinity College Library for the inside.
here are some stats about it:
it's 171 blocks long, 102 blocks wide and 66 blocks tall.
I put 90 hours into it over the course of one month.
the build contains:
nearly 55 000 oak logs
nearly 33 000 cobblestone
over 10 000 stone slabs and 6 000 double slabs
over 9 000 blocks of glowstone
and over 7 000 bookshelves.
