American Freedom Train

The American Freedom Train was a special train that took place from April 1st 1975 to December 31st 1976 for America's Bicentennial, the country's 200th anniversary. The train began its tour in Wilmington, Delaware and travelled around all 48 states across the entire continental U.S. The train was led by three steam engines - Southern Pacific 4449 through the western United States, Reading T1 2101 (No.1) through the northeast area due to the older tracks, and Texas and Pacific 610 through Texas. The train ended it's tour in Miami. More than 7 million people visited the train's exhibits, while 30 million people watched the train passing by. There are plans to run a Freedom Train again in 2026.

The train carried 512 artifacts in 10 display cars including George Washington's copy of the Constitution, the original Louisiana Purchase, One of Judy Garland's dresses from the Wizard Of Oz, Martin Luther King's pulpit and robes and a rock from the Moon. Two showcase cars were used, containing large showcase windows on each side, containing larger items including a - The Freedom Bell, A 19th Century Fire Engine, A Lunar Rover, and a 1904 Oldsmobile Runabout.

I used Craftyfoxe's build on the Reading T1 and SP 4449 and modified them into their freedom train appearances and added a few extra details No.610 was entirely built by myself.
