You play as Valerie Fairchild, the daughter of C. Fairchild - a renown scientist developing a way for humanity to achieve immortality, Project: "Endurance", Through his project, minds of people could be transferred into data boxes and fed to AI so it develops. He mapped his whole brain and kept a backup in a wardrobe, which had a developing AI. Eager to learn more, he tried multiple ways of transferring himself and coming back, which in one attempt, failed and resulted in death. Part of his opportunistic self from that attempt was stored in a clock. Valerie wakes up from a coma discovering her Dad's voice in a wardrobe but it sounds very unusual, demanding.
