The Arena Islands Challenge is a fast-paced mob battling map! There are 33 islands, each with its own unique challenge! Every arena you complete will reward you with an ender pearl, use this to teleport to another island. The four Red islands are Boss Arenas! Your goal is to defeat all four bosses, and then return to the centre, for the final challenge!

Each island has a button which takes you into the Arena. Mobs will be summoned, and you will usually be given some gear or equipment specific to that fight. If you kill all the mobs, you will be teleported out of the arena, and given an ender pearl! Use that pearl to teleport to another island.

Repeat the above! Take on the arena, pearl to another island! The Goal is to complete all 4 boss arenas, then return to the centre for the final challenge.

If you accidentally pearl, or miss an island, you can simply take on the arena again to get a new pearl. Tip: Don't use the 1st slot in your inventory when fighting - that's the easiest way to accidentally pearl after winning.

Islands are not marked as "complete" as you can complete the same islands again if you want to. The route you take is your choice. But I do recommend trying to remember where you've been. Especially the red Boss arenas! Tip: You may want to screenshot the floor in the centre of where you spawned in - this shows a map of all the island colours.

Island Colours:

Green - Vanilla. Simple challenges, where you take on one or multiple of the same mob.
Orange - Structures. Similar to Green, except you take on the mobs inside their own vanilla structures.
Yellow - Unique. These are themed arenas, usually with an interesting concept.
Purple - Enhanced. Potion effects play a role in these arenas.
Blue - Sumo. The goal knock the opponent out of the arena.
Red - Bosses. These 4 challenges are required to take on the final boss!
Grey - Final Challenge. Return to the start once all 4 bosses have been killed!

My friend Codex404 set up a Minecraft GameJam in Feb 2024, for Zedcraft (Zedaph's Patreon Server). The Theme was "Island" and some optional modifiers included "Colours, Teleportation, and Projectile". This is my first ever map, and my first time using command blocks, so it may be a bit rough around the edges!

This game is designed as a single player challenge, but it might work multiplayer, as long as both players push the start button first.

I occasionally get issues when relogging so I do recommend trying to complete the challenge in one sitting. If anything does go wrong, or you're stuck on a particular challenge, you can load up the map again to start from scratch - or switch to creative mode to fly back to the starting island.

I recommend using version 1.20.1 for this. I haven't fully tested on other versions.
