It is perfect for a first ship, since my first ship was trash even before 6 years when beta 1.8 came out. ;)
Drash is right that the stern should be a bit longer because the ship is too short. Also a funnel that backwards is weird, try moving it forward. You should also get nicer interior work, be inspired from mine (large ships) drash (1870s-ca.1920) and Submarinebuilder (ca.1948-1970)

Is this your first ship? Looks like a good start. =)

But the stern is a bit short. Next time try to lenghtening it a bit more so that the proportion and shape becomes a bit more longer. Then it will looks more amazing I think :P
