Before you do anything else,go to www.minecraftforum.net/topic/228373-173-pistons-patch-updated/.There is a mod that allows pistons to throw TNT/Sand/Gravel just like the old Pistons.

Well,Pistons don't push TNT unless you have the mod for it.And that mod doesn't work for multiplayer.

if u put something behind the tnt the pistons will push it forward
